April 16 Spring Field Day – Results

Spring Field Day honoring Lifetime Member John Clements – Results

Congratulations to Ryan Coghill for Low Gross of Field – Blue Tees (71), to Kurt Kiehn for Low Gross of Field – White/Gold Tees (81), and to Bryan Lawrence for Low Net of Field (68). For more details, see Weekend Tournament Results

There were 68 players today. The recently punched greens made for Zen-like putting experiences. Scores have been posted on GHIN.

Matthew Stutzenberger surveyed players regarding play on certain of the holes. However, the surveys were lost following the annual meeting and banquet after the tournament. We hope to see more surveys at future tournaments and to keep better track of them.

Pace of play

The 8:30 group had a large gap and the 10:20 group was over the fifteen minute limit. However, neither group was penalized because they were under a time of 4:30. While the 8:30 group had a large gap, the small gap by the 8:40 group suggests the 8:30 group did not immediately stamp their scorecard. The times were creeping up from the 4:12 standard. Once they go up, they tend to stay up. Good to see everyone under 4:30. Remember, the most important factor for pace of play is to keep up with the group ahead of you.
