Congratulations to the 2020 Match Play Champions.
This is the first time for Shawn and Jay to be a Jackson Park Men’s Golf Club match play champion. David was the Handicap Division Champion in 2018.
The Gross Match Play was decided last Saturday, Oct 17.
Jay Clark is our new champion, defeating David Foreman 5 & 4.
The Handicap Division was decided on Thursday, Oct 22.
Shawn Rockey is our new champion, defeating Jeff Schoening 3 & 1.
The Senior Gross was decided today, Oct 24.
David Foreman is our new champion, defeating Reid Swick in 19 holes.
Jay and David qualify to play in the WA Golf Champion of Champions tournament played in April (usually) at The Home Course. This is a tournament for gross club champions, whether stroke or match play, and including senior divisions.
Jay also qualified to play in that tournament two other ways: he was both the Low Gross of Field and the Senior Low Gross of Field in the Two-Day Jackson Classic.
Last year’s champions also qualify to play in the tournament in 2021.
