Mark Ohrenschall Conquers Great Scottish Links

In September of this year, long-time Jackson Park Men’s Club member, officer, and champion, Mark Ohrenschall, ventured to Scotland and played some of the game’s oldest courses.  As part of this journey, Mark teed it up at Gullane No. 1, the recent site of the Scottish Open.  Marko was striping it from the start, and avoided all of the course’s 100+ pot bunkers.   Hitting fairways and greens, and putting it true, Mark stepped up to the beautiful 18th tee, which feeds downhill into the village of Gullane, needing a clean 4 to break par.  A well struck drive, clean approach to 20 feet, and two putts later, our hero completed the round, shooting a one-under 70.  Below are pictures from the great (or as the Scots would say “gdret”) day, as well as a picture of Marko in front of the R&A Clubhouse on the first tee of St. Andrew’s Old Course, proudly honoring our Men’s Club by holding up his Jackson Park golf hat.   When you see Mark next, give him a pat on the back for a job well done.
