Results for May and June Saturday League Tournaments

July 1, 2025

Results provided by Dan Fabela, Statistics by Jeff Schoening

Four-Ball Net, May 17

What a day! The weather was a little tricky, but the course is in great condition. Looking forward to not playing winter rules someday. We had one Pace of Play penalty today, reminder to all teams to please keep up with the team in front of you.

Congratulations to Flight 1 winners Mark Gegax and Patrick Hill. Flight 2 winners Supin Ko and Lloyd Pasion, and Flight 3 winners Michael Bernard and Tim Bowen.

Looking forward to next month’s tournament – the Jackson Classic, which is a 2-day stroke play tournament. You will be able to sign up for Saturday, but Sunday tee times will be based on how you play on Saturday with the better scores teeing off last.

Jackson Park Classic – The Two-Day Stroke Play Championship, June 21-22

That’s a wrap on the 2025 JP Classic honoring Dan Puetz Sr. I could not be there Sunday but looking at the results it looks like the course played a little better for some than others. Glad we collected the full tournament fees on Saturday as we had 8 no shows today. There were no Pace of Play penalties today…Great Job. Let’s keep that going.

Congratulations to Jack Hartley (146), the 2025 JP Classic Gross Stroke Play Champion; to Kyle Miller (141), the 2025 JP Classic Net Champion; to Mark Ohrenschall (159), the 2025 Senior Gross Stroke Play Champion; to Kurt Kiehn (168), the Legacy Gross Champion. Jack and Mark qualified for the Champion of Champions tournament played at The Home Course in April.

Full Results can be seen HERE (There are three sets of book money payouts: Saturday, Sunday, and combined Saturday & Sunday. Because Golf Genius does not combine these numbers, you must check each category to see the full results.)

Next up is the Summer Field Day on Saturday, July 12.

Thank you to Jeff Schoening for all the help during my absence, much appreciated.

Until later,

Dan

  1. My hat is off to Dan Fabela and Pres. Ohrenschall and several others who once again coordinated a great 2-day Jackson Park Classic.
It is a great honor to have my name associated with this event. Thanks to all who played. In my opinion, the 2-DAY Is our signature event.
It’s not a sprint but a marathon, much like PGA tournaments. The 2-DAY participants are very committed to their game and our club.
    Many thanks.
    All my best,
    Dan Puetz Sr.
