2023 Match Play

The 2023 Match Play season draws near.

This year there are six match play tournaments, the same as last year. To see descriptions of each tournament, use this GGID on Golf Genius: JPALL23 or this link. To sign up, pay for MATCH PLAY Tournaments. The fee is $20 per person per tournament. People can now sign up for everything but Gross. That will open after Spring Field Day for those who are eligible (see below New Rules for Gross Match Play).

An hour of tee times on Saturday mornings will be reserved for match play, except for tournament days. Tee times must be reserved on Golf Genius by the prior Wednesdays at 5 PM.

Three tournaments begin on May 1: Net, Two-Man Net (Net Fourball), and Non-Championship Gross (I). The deadline for signing up is April 18. For Net and Two-Man Net, the field is limited to sixty-four players, with preference given to those who sign up first. There is no limit to the field for Non-Championship Gross.

Three tournaments begin on May 29: Gross, Senior Gross, and Legends Net. The deadline for signing up is May 16. These three tournaments are limited to sixteen players each. Players must qualify to play in the Gross Championship. Details are below. Anyone of an appropriate age may enter the Senior Gross (55+). Should there be more than sixteen players, those sixteen players with the lowest handicap index will play. The Legends Net (70+) is open on a first come basis.

Non-Championship Gross (II) begins on July 10, with a June 27 deadline to sign up.
