Updated Scorecards at Jackson Park Golf Course

The scorecards at Jackson Park Golf Course have been updated, with new ratings/slopes and hole indexes for the men's tees.

 

Golf Genius has been updated, too, so all the leagues are now using the new scorecards as of Wednesday, May 3rd.

 

For match play, use the scorecards available in the pro shop. If both versions are found, then use the new scorecard, with the reduced ratings/slopes.

 

WA Golf has a team that evaluates courses' ratings and slopes. The new numbers are based on their evaluation.

 

Blue tees went from 69.3 / 121 to 69.2 / 118, white from 66.9 / 117 to 66.7 / 114, and gold from 64.1 / 110 to 64 / 108.

 

While it will be more difficult to lower one's handicap index playing at Jackson Park, our Seattle Cup team may get an assist.

 

The hole index is primarily used by the Men's Club, so the tournament directors and Rules Committee were consulted. Their suggestions for making changes were based on the tournament statistics for 2022 and the USGA guidelines for hole indexing. Most Men's Club rounds were played and continue to be played from the white tees, so the white tee statistics were favored.
