We’ve got a busy couple of months coming up :
Saturday May 3rd: Stableford Event , Entry deadline Thursday May 1st (as always is close of business Thursday prior to event)
If you aren’t familiar with the Stableford system you can view the details of the format here Stableford Rules.
It’s a lot simpler than it may seem and mathmatically it just means that you can not score higher than a double bogey on any hole, a great advantage for most of us higher handicappers!
Saturday May 17th: 2 Man Best Ball, I’m not clear on all the details for this one but I think we are planning a blind draw for partners ( don’t quote me on that one).
I’ll send out more details a week before that one as well.
Sign up’s are now open for our Club Championship Match Play Events. We are hoping everyone signing up for the Net division will be able to join us for round #1 on June 7th, but if you want to participate and aren’t available on that date exceptions can be made but make sure and note it on your entry form so John can work out the details.
Saturday June 7th: Round #1: Club Championship Match Play Net Division
Saturday June 21st: Red, White, and Blue: Play 6 holes from each tee box. You choose which tee to play on each hole.
For those who haven’t played lately, the course is in excellent shape and the greens have recovered quickly from the aeration! I compliment the grounds crew for the excellent job they are doing. Having played Jackson regularly for 40+ years, the course in the best condition that I can remember! Big Kuddos to the entire staff!
On a personal note, if anyone can teach me how to hit a tee shot in the fairway I would greatly appreciate it!
