Saturday, Tuesday, and Wednesday League Money Lists
Thank you to all the members and tournament players whose support and participation helped to make this a successful year for the club. In addition to our leagues’ tournaments, we co-sponsored two charity events, the first Family and Friends benefiting First Tee and the Seventh JPMGC Charity Classic benefiting Harvest Against Hunger, held a Junior Tournament in August, and had numerous outings including to Chambers Bay, The Home Course, Druids Glen, and Legion Memorial.

Saturday League Tournament Champions
Dylan Fitzgerald was Gross Stroke Play Champion. Kyle Miller is the Gross Match Play Champion. Mark Ohrenschall is the Senior Gross Stroke Play Champion. Tom Thorson is the Senior Gross Match Play Champion. All of them qualified this year to play in the Champion of Champions Tournament at The Home Course in April 2025 and 2026.
Six players have qualified to compete for the 2024 Match Play Gross Championship. They are Kyle Miller, Mark Ohrenschall, Dylan Fitzgerald, Jack Hartley, Darin Kudrna, Jay Clark, and Joseph Botkins. The remaining nine spots will be filled based on the Spring Field Day 2025 performances from the blue tees.

Top Twenties
These are the top money winners and participants across all the club tournaments. Those people who play more on Saturdays and Tuesdays have an advantage in money winning, because those leagues pay better than the Wednesday league. Still, some people playing lots of Wednesdays did quite well.
Dan Fabela led in “Points,” “Purse,” and “Total Points & Purse.” Oliver Rutz led in “Tournaments Played.” Because Dan led in points, he is the “Sandbagger of the Year” for 2024. Congratulations, Dan! Dan was also “Sandbagger of the Year” in 2023. Like last year, he lowered his handicap over the course of the season, this time going from 14.8 to 13.7.
Tournament Stats
The club grew in 2024. Membership was up 3%, from 521 to 537 members. Tournament participation increased, too. The statistics for 2024 and 2023 are below. The upshot is that tourney rounds were up 4.9%, the number of payouts were up 6.5%, the tournament fee collected was up 5%, the club contribution was up 5%, and the club percentage was down 0.4%, so that total payout was up 5.6%. Jackson Park Sum, the total of estimated tournament green fees and tournament payouts, was up 6.5%. Tournament directors adjust the club contribution to payouts to keep tournament finances at a sustainable level for the club. ~ Bold is used for 2024 numbers larger than the 2023 numbers.
