Sept 17 Fall Field Day

Today we celebrated Lifetime Member and #1 Sandbagger Dan Puetz Sr. His friends and sons joined in the play and celebrations on a beautiful September day.

Congratulations to Ryan Coghill, Dave Foreman, and Jack Hartley for tying for Low Gross of Field – Blue Tees (73), to Travis Jones for Low Gross of Field – White/Gold Tees (77), and to Dan Fabela for Low Net of Field (66). Lowest score by a nonagenarian goes to Jim Bickford (101/80). For more details on the scores and results, see Weekend Tournament Results. By the way, if you click on a players name, you can see their hole-by-hole scoring.

Ryan Coghill was either tied for or outright Low Gross of Field for all the Saturday Field Days and the Two-Day Jackson Classic. This is an outstanding achievement in the Men’s Club.

There were 76 players today. Twenty-five played the blue tees and fifty-six played white/gold. Scores have been posted on GHIN.

Pace of play

The clock was not punching times, so players had to write their finish time on their scorecards. The 9:20 group received a two-stroke penalty because it was over 4:30 and had a gap of 28 minutes. Before them, the groups were at or under a 4:19 time. After them, no group was under 4:30, even when the gaps were often under ten minutes.
